Windows Networking

Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP Professional and the standard server and workstation platforms I support. Group Policies and network security ensure your network runs as reliably and smoothly as it should. I like the network to 'second guess' you by applying standardised security and application preferences automatically - rather like the way you expect your antivirus applications to update themselves without user interaction.

Exchange Server

Securing Exchange Server, disaster recovery and clustering solutions. I support all versions from 5.5 to 2003. Once installed, user training and focused customisations ensure your business reaps the full benefit of this excellent groupware server.

Cisco PIX Firewall

I first qualified as a Cisco Certified Security Professional - CCSP - over three years ago after several years building on my CCNA training. It is my experience that the PIX provides the most stable and high performance firewall and VPN solution for SMBs.

Remote Access

Remote Desktop and general networking through IPSec VPN connections are standard to all of my network solutions. Ubiquitous access to your data and applications are now within the grasp of any user through fixed broadband connections.

Mobile email and data access are also being rapidly deployed as the entry-points into mobile broadband are becoming commoditised. The proliferation of Windows Smartphones and other Windows Mobile devices have made it extremely attractive to deploy services to remote and mobile users, simply by leveraging an existing Exchange Server installation.
